ABOUT US

Welcome to the worldwide leading supplier of PET precursors and reagents kits

You have an idea for a radiopharmaceutical.
We help you bring it to life.

ABX advanced biochemical compounds is a global frontrunner in radiopharmaceuticals, with a focus on positron emission tomography (PET) tracers. We develop and produce compounds and components for any kind of radiotracer – from PET and SPECT precursors, PET reagent kits and cassettes, to complete radiopharmaceutical drug production in GMP environment. Based in Radeberg, Germany, our team of about 400 employees is specialised in custom synthesis and manufacturing of precursors and peptides according to GMP for active pharmaceutical ingredients. Thanks to our expertise combined with bleeding edge equipment, we reach highest research, production, and quality standards. For example, we operate a hot lab for R&D of new radiopharmaceutical kits and cassettes for our own product portfolio and in cooperation with pharmaceutical companies. Our extensive laboratory space enables us to perform stability studies of our products and in-house sterility testing of radioactive pharmaceuticals. Thanks to our production of aseptic excipients and sterile disposables, we are largely independent from external sourcing. We are also authorized producer of radiopharmaceutical drugs. Furthermore, we are experts in ASMFs, US-DMFs and technical documents for reagent kits, cassettes, PET and SPECT precursors. ABX is a global success story: As market leader for radiopharmaceutical consumables we developed over the last years the ¹⁷⁷Lu-PSMA-617 – until phase II (then sublicensed to Endocyte, now Novartis) as well as ¹⁸F-PSMA-1007 – now approved in selected countries in Europe.

Funding from the EU and the Free State of Saxony: Support for soil rehabilitation in preparation for the upcoming expansion of ABX’s facility in Radeberg

By purchasing land to expand its production capacity in Radeberg, ABX is making a targeted investment in a sustainable business location. The project thus makes an important contribution to the sustainable development of Radeberg as a business hub and to strengthening regional economic growth. Funding from the European Union and the Free State of Saxony will enable the decontamination of the site, paving the way for its economic development in an environmentally responsible manner.Site decontamination is a key component of ABX’s planned expansion in Radeberg. The contamination in the subsoil stems from the site’s historical use, as it was home to a glassworks until 1928. The goal of this project is to remove the historical soil contamination. This lays the groundwork for a sustainable expansion of the company’s site, ensuring safe and healthy working conditions in the future. The project is receiving financial support from the European Union and the Free State of Saxony. The core of the project involves decontamination through soil replacement. This process entails excavating a large portion of the contaminated soil and either recycling it properly or disposing of it in a manner that is compatible with the public interest. Any residual contamination remaining in the subsoil will be properly secured. A prerequisite for this is the prior demolition of the existing buildings on the site.Following the remediation work, at least 15 percent of the decontaminated area is to be restored to its natural state. At the same time, new production facilities will be constructed, designed to meet modern technical, safety, and energy efficiency standards.
