Minister of Economic Affairs Visiting ABX: Innovation Meets Radiopharmacy

On Thursday, January 8, 2026 we were pleased to welcome distinguished guests to ABX in Radeberg: Saxony’s Minister for Economic Affairs, Dirk Panter, the Mayor of Radeberg, Frank Höhme, representatives from Wirtschaftsförderung Sachsen GmbH, and members of the press as part of a press tour accompanying the Radiopharmaceutical Theme Day in Dresden and Radeberg.
During the visit, we provided exclusive insights into our radiopharmaceutical operations, including a presentation of our newly installed 32 MeV cyclotron in the new radiopharmacy building. The tour continued with a look into radiopharmaceutical manufacturing, offering a behind‑the‑scenes view of production processes as well as packaging and shipping.
As a global leader in radiopharmaceuticals, ABX has been developing and manufacturing highly specialized active pharmaceutical ingredients and consumables for medical imaging for more than 25 years. Our solutions enable precise diagnosis of cancer and metabolic diseases using Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT).
Products such as our prostate cancer diagnostic Radelumin®, along with our significant contribution to the development of the novel therapeutic Pluvicto®, reflect our commitment to quality, safety, and innovation. A strong signal for the future is our €35 million investment in the 32 MeV cyclotron and the radiopharmaceutical manufacturing building — the foundation for Europe’s largest CDMO with six production lines covering the full PET/SPECT spectrum. With over 420 employees, ABX is proud to be part of Saxony’s “Radiopharmaceutical Valley” and to actively contribute to strengthening the region as an innovation hub.Thank you for the visit, the inspiring exchange, and the strong interest in our work.
