Molecule of the month - Tetrofosmin sulfosalicylate

99mTc-Tetrofosmin is a myocardial perfusion imaging agent and has been used worldwide for decades under the brand name Myoview. The patent expired and ABX now offers Tetrofosmin sulfosalicylate, that can be used as for production of kits for 99mTc-labelling. In contrast to the highly sensitive Tetrofosmin, its salt Tetrofosmin sulfosalicylate is bench-stable and can be handled without special precautions.
