Dopamine is one of the major neurotransmitters of the central nervous system, involved in various cerebral and peripheral physiological functions associated with neurologic and psychiatric disorders. PET imaging using the high affinity dopamine D2/3 receptor antagonist [18F]Fallypride] can provide accurate estimates of dopamine D2/3 receptor levels in the brain and has been used clinically to study receptor density and occupancy in neuropsychiatric disorders [1]. ABX provides the precursor and reference standard for [18F]Fallypride.
